Start your journey with a 9:00 am departure from Kigali, heading to the stunning Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, check in at the serene Mantis Akagera Game Lodge, located on the park's southern side. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink as you settle into your comfortable room and soak in the natural beauty around you. After a delightful lunch, set off on your first guided game drive, where you'll have the chance to spot giraffes, cape buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, monkeys, and antelopes roaming across Akagera's diverse landscapes.
As evening falls, return to the lodge to unwind and indulge in a sumptuous dinner. Relax by the campfire under the stars, surrounded by the enchanting sounds of the African wilderness - a perfect close to your first day in the park.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive through Akagera National Park, led by an expert guide. Midday, enjoy a bush-packed lunch surrounded by the raw beauty of Akagera.
In the late afternoon, embark on a sunset boat safari on Lake Ihema at 4:30 pm. This serene experience offers close encounters with hippos, Nice crocodiles, and a spectacular variety of birdlife. Bird enthusiasts will marvel at sightings of African Fish Eagles, Papyrus Gonoleks, and perhaps even the rare Shoebill Stork. The lake's shores are alive with cormorants and other vibrant waterbirds, making this an unforgettable experience. After the sunset cruise, your driver-guide will return you to the lodge. Wind down with a delicious dinner and spend the evening immersed in the tranquil ambiance of the lodge.
