Welcome to Uganda! Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our Vazquez Tours & Travel Ltd representative will be there to warmly welcome you. You will then be transferred to your designated hotel for an overnight stay, where you can relax and recover from your journey.

After a delightful breakfast, embark on an exciting journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to the majestic mountain gorillas. You will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for a scenic flight to Kisoro Airstrip, offering breathtaking aerial views of Uganda's lush landscapes.

Upon arrival, your expert guide will warmly welcome you and drive you to your lodge nestled in the heart of Bwindi. In the afternoon, you can unwind at your lodge, soaking in the tranquility of the rainforest, or opt for an enriching Batwa cultural experience. This immersive visit introduces you to the traditions of the Batwa Pygmies, where you'll witness their traditional dances, listen to fascinating folklore, and learn about their way of life - a truly eye-opening encounter.

Lodge/Hotel: Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge – Cottage.

Day Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Full board - BB).

Rise early for a hearty breakfast before embarking on one of the most exhilarating wildlife experiences in the world - mountain gorilla trekking. With your packed lunch in hand, your guide will transfer you to the Bwindi National Park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing on trekking guidelines, including the essential dos and don'ts to ensure a respectful and rewarding encounter.

Following the briefing, your gorilla trekking adventure begins. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will traverse the dense rainforest, navigating steep and sometimes muddy trails in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 7 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. Expect to walk long distances through challenging terrain - a walking stick is highly recommended for added support.

Once you locate the gorillas, you will have one unforgettable hour in their presence, observing their behaviors, interactions, and familial bonds - an experience that mirrors our own human connections. Capture incredible photographs and soak in this once-in-a-lifetime wildlife moment. After your trek, return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificate as a memento of this extraordinary experience. You will then be driven back to your lodge for a well-deserved evening of relaxation.

Day Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Full board – BB).

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge bidding farewell to the breathtaking landscapes of Bwindi. You will be transferred to Kisoro Airstrip for your scenic flight back to Entebbe International Airport. Upon arrival, you will have access to a comfortable dayroom at Hotel Number 5, where you can relax and freshen up before connecting to your international flight home.

  • Cross-border travel is facilitated by obtaining an East Africa Visa ($100).

  • Travel insurance is highly recommended.
  • Ensure you are in good physical health as trekking involves hiking through uneven terrain.
3. Attire for Gorilla Trekking
  • Wear long-sleeved shirts and long trousers to protect against scratches.
  • Comfortable, waterproof hiking boots are essential.
  • Bring gloves for grip and protection.
  • A lightweight rain jacket or poncho is advised as weather can change suddenly.
4. Packing List
  • Warm clothes, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.
  • A camera (no flash allowed) for capturing your experience.
5. Weather and Climate
  • The region is generally cold and often damp, especially in the mornings and evenings.
  • Dress in warm layers to stay comfortable and adjust to varying temperatures throughout the trek.
6. Transportation Details
  • Transportation will be provided in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle.
  • The drive from Kigali to Bwindi National Park takes approximately 4 hours from Kigali.
7. Trekking Guidelines
  • Always follow the guide's instructions to ensure safety and avoid disturbing the gorillas.
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 7 meters from the gorillas.
  • Speak in low tones and avoid sudden movements.
8. Cultural Etiquette
  • Respect local customs when interacting with community members and park staff.
  • Tipping is appreciated by drivers, guides, and porters but is entirely at your discretion.

  • Meals and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided throughout the entire day of the tour.
10. Park Entry Fees
