Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your designated hotel. After a brief orientation about your upcoming adventure, take the rest of the day relaxing and unwinding in preparation for the incredible journey ahead.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, then embark on a captivating Kigali city tour, offering a deeper understanding of Rwanda's rich history and vibrant culture.

  • Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial – A moving tribute to the resilience of the Rwandan people.
  • Explore Kimironko Local Market – Experience a colorful display of fresh produce and local crafts.

After the city tour, set off on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwestern Uganda. This ancient rainforest, dating back over 2,500 years, is home to nearly half of the world's mountain gorillas and boasts incredible biodiversity.

Optional Activity: Engage in an authentic Batwa Community Experience to learn about their traditions and forest life.

Day Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Full board - BB).

Today, prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat! After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing, where you'll be assigned a gorilla family and guided by expert trackers into the heart of the dense rainforest.

Gorilla Trekking Experience:

  • Hike through Bwindi's ancient jungle, navigating its rugged terrain in search of these gentle giants.
  • The trek can take up to 7 hours, depending on the gorilla's location.
  • Once found, spend an awe-inspiring 1 hour observing them as they eat, groom, and interact – an unforgettable wildlife experience!

After the trek, return to the briefing area, where you'll receive a certificate of participation, then head back to the lodge for a well-deserved dinner and relaxation.

Optional Experience: If the weather allows, take a short walk to the top of the forest for a magical sundowner experience above the clouds, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Bwindi landscape.

After a leisurely breakfast, begin your journey back to Kigali, with an enriching stop at the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Here, you'll gain insight into the groundbreaking conservation efforts to protect mountain gorillas in both Rwanda and Uganda.

Continue to Kigali city, where you'll enjoy a delicious hot lunch before your guide transfers you to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure.

8. Cultural Etiquette
