However, Kibale is best known as the Primate Capital of the World, boasting an impressive 13 primate species, including the iconic chimpanzees - the stars of this tropical haven.

En route, stop by a tea plantation for an immersive experience in tea cultivation, from planting and harvesting to processing. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Full board - BB).

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kibale National Park headquarters, where experienced rangers will brief you before embarking on an exhilarating chimpanzee trekking adventure at 08:00 AM. Kibale National Park boasts the highest concentration of primates in East Africa, offering a rare chance to encounter chimpanzees in their natural habitat. As you navigate the lush rainforest, listen to their distinctive pant-hooting calls, leading you to observe them as they feed and socialize. The trek lasts 2-3 hours, after which you will enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, embark on a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a haven for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts. This lush wetland offers excellent birding opportunities, with chances to spot the Great Blue Turaco and other unique species. Beyond its rich biodiversity, Bigodi is a cultural treasure, where you can interact with the local community, learning about their traditional practices and way of life. Your trekking adventure begins immediately after the briefing, as you venture through the dense forest in search of the gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, depending on the gorilla's location and movement. Be prepared to navigate through muddy, steep terrain, so a walking stick will be essential.

Once you encounter the gorillas, you'll be mesmerized by their close-knit family interactions, as they feed, play, and engage in their daily activities. Spend up to one hour observing and capturing this rare moment, getting a closer look at their subtle social behaviors, which closely resemble our own.
